Are you ready to rumble!! The Rock Showdown – The Charge V’s Freestate. The Charge and Freestate team up for a show at The Prague on the 14th April with special guests Olmeg and Artilah. The Charge release their 2nd Single “Together We Can Make a Difference” from the Red Flags Album this month. Single and Album are available at rarerecords.com and Itunes.
Melbourne four piece rock act The Charge will release their debut full length album “Red Flags” on January 13th. The release is the culmination of many years of hard work since the bands inception back in 2008 and draws on influences from such diverse but ultimately raucous sources as Black Sabbath, Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Queens of the Stone Age and Led Zeppelin, and channelled it into a sound and presentation that is uniquely their own.
Mixed by famed producer and Shihad drummer Tom Larkin (Calling All Cars). Red Flags is everything you could want in a heavy rock album. It snarls with ferocious anger and bristling energy, but also retains a catchy accessibility that has its tunes sticking in your head for long moments after.
Follow Me Down is the 1st single and video clip to be lifted off the “Red Flags” Album. The video was shot in the bands rehearsal space to capture the bands live appearance and grungy feel.
The Charge will also be embarking on their first run of live dates in support of the album up and down the east coast of Australia beginning on the 7th January 2012. This will see them playing around Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Both the album and an array of merchandise will be available at each gig.
The coming months will see The Charge on a mission to spread the word and the sounds of their own brand of Hard Rock to Australian audiences. The sky is the limit for this hard working band, so get along to one of the live dates near you.
Red Flags will be available via itunes and www.rarerecords.com.au
